About us

Hungry 4 Change focuses on hunger and homelessness

Hungry 4 Change is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2018 by students from the University of Maryland, based in Rockville, Maryland. We focus on addressing the root causes of poverty, helping low socio-economic communities become self-sustainable.
Our work spans the U.S., Kenya, and Honduras, from connecting DMV families with housing and food assistance, to building boreholes for clean water, planting trees, and coordinating donation drives for vulnerable schools abroad.

Our Mission

  1. Our goal is to support people in need by helping them to rise from their current situations by addressing their immediate needs and the root causes of their issues.

  2. We are communicating information about voter registration by sharing voter registration requirements, applications, and support services.

  3. We are empowering people by hosting events to help people register to vote, complete applications for rent relief, energy bill, unemployment insurance, and other social services.
